Uncaria tomentosa, commonly known as cat’s claw, is a woody vine in the Rubiaceae family, native to Central and South American tropical rainforests. It uses claw-shaped thorns to climb trees, often reaching heights over 100 feet. The bark is ethically harvested and serves as a major source of income for many Brazilian and Peruvian villages. Typical preparations include extractions, infusions, or decoctions, often used as cat’s claw tea.

Due to its value in traditional practices, cat’s claw bark is in demand, and we are committed to sourcing it ethically to support sustainable production. Available as dried bark, it can be used for teas or other preparations, retaining its quality when stored properly.
